Violence Against Women (VAW)
Tackling all forms of violence against women requires the commitment and co-operation of a wide range of partner organisations from the statutory and voluntary sector. The Edinburgh Violence Against Women Partnership reconvened in September 2010 and has been working to produce a new updated action plan for the final year of the ‘No Excuse’ strategy.The key priorities of the ‘No Excuse‘ strategy are:
- Raise awareness and understanding of VAW
- Improve services to address VAW
- Increase reporting and improve sharing of VAW
At its meeting on 11 May 2011, the Edinburgh Community Safety Partnership approved the action plan for the final year of the strategy.
