Tasking and Co-ordinating (TAC)

Neighbourhood Area TACs

Chief Inspectors and Neighbourhood Managers from each of the six neighbourhood areas have responsibility for the delivery of the services within their respective geographical area through the tasking and co-ordinating (TAC) process.

The process centres on a monthly TAC meeting, the role of which is to:

  • collate, share and manage up to date information and analysis
  • task and co-ordinate resources to tackle crime, community safety and antisocial behaviour
  • review tasking and identify best practice.

Membership

The TAC is attended by identified police, council managers, fire service personnel and other relevant partner agencies all operating within the same neighbourhood area.
