Community Safety Co-ordinating Group

The Community Safety Co-ordinating Group was formed in June 2009 to fulfil the link between the Neighbourhood Tasking and Co-ordinating Groups and the Partnership Executive.

The remit of the group is to implement the strategy of the Edinburgh Community Safety Partnership (ECSP) and co-ordinate and monitor community safety activity within the City of Edinburgh.

Key tasks include:

• reporting quarterly to the ECSP on performance with regards to Outcome 9 of the Single Outcome Agreement; and Partnership Control Strategy
• establishing links and reporting mechanisms with the Neighbourhood TACs
• identifying emerging trends and cross boundary issues
• identifying and rolling out, where appropriate, best practice in community safety
